The Rules: This month we’re going to try something new! It can be anything at all, as long as its something you’ve never tried before but always wanted to. A new hobby or sport, a different fashion, a new recipe or restaurant or perhaps an experience like going on a boat or flying a kite. One of the best ways to grow and develop who we are is to try new things, you never know when you’ll discover something that makes you happy or lets you express another part of yourself.
For this month's challenge I had planned to get my first manicure, but due to lack of funds I ended up giving up on the idea. Not really seeing anything I could arrange in time for the deadline, I figured I'd have to skip this challenge, and was rather dissapointed.
However, every summer my library holds weekly video game tournaments, and at this last one a couple of girls had brought Dance Dance Revolution, which was very exciting, since I've wanted to try the game for years. I'm pretty shy when it comes to these sorts of things though, on top of which I'd never played the game before, so at first I just played using the controller. But after watching a bunch of other people play with the dance mat not only did I have decent idea of how it was done, I also had the burning desire to try it out myself. So I ignored the fact that people were watching, jumped onto the dance mat and got my first real try at DDR. It was a blast! Despite being very tired by the time I finished, I had waaaay too much fun. I think when I finally get some real funds again and get around to buying Guitar Hero that I am going to have to pick up DDR as well.
A dream I had about a prince transformed into a crystal unicorn. His footfalls sounded like bells, his call was like the sound of wet fingertip on the mouth of a glass and he cried pearl tears. Banished from his home, he wandered the country side until he was found and saved by a young girl's love...
All the flowers, trees and pretty gardens I pass on the way to work each day.

Yesterday's wonderful picnic lunch. We dropped by the restaurant where I work and bought subs, and then drove to the park. The sky was warm and blue, and the grass and trees were that incredible early-summer green. In the shade it was a little chilly, but with a sweater on, the temperature was perfect. We hung around and ate our delicous luncheon for awhile, before some friends showed up and then we played sword-fighting and chased each other around and took pictures until we were ready for dinner... ^^
